City accepts $2,900 bid for 105 W. Washington Street

Clerk Dauphin reported only one bid had been dropped off; Mayor Carl Bates opened the bid from Grant and Nancy Bandemer for $2,900. Alderman Jeff Elliott moved to accept the bid and Alderman Paul Kaczmarski seconded; the council approved the sale in a roll-call vote (five yes, one absent).
Before opening the bid the mayor reminded members the minimum bid was $2,000. The accepted bid exceeded that minimum by $900.
