Assistant Director Joseph Hallett updated the board on several division priorities. He said Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) early intervention contracts remain in development and are expected to be presented to the Board of Supervisors later in the month; staff are coordinating with community providers on new BHSA reporting requirements.
Hallett said "Two qualified candidates have been identified for the Deputy Director of Behavioral Health position." He also reported the county is preparing for NCQA accreditation as part of a Managed Behavioral Health Organization effort and that staff are finalizing licensing, program development and an RFP for a new Behavioral Health Treatment Center, with construction anticipated to be completed by the end of September; the facility is intended to expand services in support of SB 43.
