Board approves PRESS policies and SRO agreement; Athletic Handbook referred to committee

On Jan. 21 the board approved the second reading of PRESS model policies and an intergovernmental agreement to provide a School Resource Officer; the Athletic Handbook first reading was referred to the Co-Curricular Committee and the board designated the superintendent and finance director to prepare the annual budget.
The board approved the second reading of the PRESS policies as recommended by the Policy and Personnel Committee. "Motion by Flohr, seconded by Haab, to approve the second reading of the PRESS Policies as recommended by the Policy and Personnel Committee," the record shows; the vote was recorded as all in favor.
The board also approved an Intergovernmental Agreement for a School Resource Officer, again on unanimous roll call, and referred the first reading of the Athletic Handbook to the Co-Curricular Committee for review. In addition the board approved a resolution designating the superintendent and the finance director to prepare the annual budget.
These actions complete routine policy and intergovernmental steps required for implementation of the district's safe-learning environment procedures and administrative budget preparation prior to formal budget adoption.
