Developers given more time: council holds two land-use items in abeyance

Two land-use items on the Aug. 5 agenda were held in abeyance to allow applicants more time to comply with conditions and to confer with councilmembers.
For item 65, the applicant's general contractor, Hector, asked for more time to complete landscape and tree-related conditions for a proposed two-story, five-unit multifamily development at 617 North 10th Street; the council granted abeyance to Sept. 16. Hector told the council the work would be ready by mid-September. "We just like to ask for more time to comply with the trees and landscaping ... we will have it ready for the, I think it's September 16," he said.
For item 66, Fermin Miranda representing Partners Auto Services confirmed the hearing was postponed and the council granted abeyance to Sept. 2 so the applicant and the councilmember could meet to address concerns. Both items were continued without final action.
