Finance director: tax levy filed, ISBE maintenance grant submitted, bond payment due Feb. 1

Finance Director Justin Krueger told the board the 2025 Certificate of Tax Levy was filed Dec. 18, 2025 with Winnebago and Boone counties and that the 2026 School Maintenance Project Grant application was submitted to ISBE on Jan. 15, 2026; semi-annual bond payments are due Feb. 1, 2026.
Justin Krueger, the district’s finance director, reported that year-to-date revenues and expenses align with the adopted budget and that the district filed its 2025 Certificate of Tax Levy with the Winnebago and Boone County clerks on Dec. 18, 2025. Krueger also reported the district submitted the 2026 School Maintenance Project Grant application to the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) on Jan. 15, 2026; the application would fund life-safety work such as replacing fire-rated doors and sprinkler heads as required by a 10-year life-safety inspection.
Krueger stated that semi-annual bond payments are due on Feb. 1, 2026 and that wire payments are scheduled for Jan. 28, 2026. The board accepted the finance report as part of the consent agenda and the administration will proceed with the scheduled financial transactions if approved funds and processing occur as planned.
The finance report also noted routine distribution of W-2 and 1099 forms in early January and timely filing of several federal program quarterly expenditure reports before the Jan. 20 deadline.
