The Las Vegas City Council on Aug. 5 confirmed a slate of appointments and reappointments across city boards and advisory commissions.
The council approved the mayor's designee Matt Hodges for the Art Commission. The body also appointed Zachary Crane to the Building and Safety Enterprise Fund advisory committee to fill the commercial development industry seat. Council reappointed Lindsay Lebo to the Ward 2 planning commission, Serena Kasama to the Ward 4 planning commission, Jennifer Taylor to the Ward 6 planning commission and Carolyn Moseen to the Ward 6 senior citizens advisory board. The consent and appointment votes were conducted largely by voice after members moved to approve the items; the mayor called each motion and the clerk recorded the action.
Council members did not substantially debate the nominees at the meeting; each motion carried on voice vote and the clerk announced that the motions passed. The appointments will take effect according to the city's standard onboarding process for advisory-membership terms.
