Library programs, blood drive and firefighter fundraiser set for June; tickets $50

Alderman Donna Grochowski, the library liaison, said the library’s Crafty Corner and summer reading program start June 8, with the next library board meeting on June 2. She also reminded residents that vehicle stickers and animal tags are on sale through June 30. The Mosque is hosting a blood drive May 29 from 1:30 to 6:00 p.m.; donors will receive a $25 e-gift card, per the minutes.
Alderman Bob Reynolds reported a fundraiser for fireman Jeff Braun, who has been diagnosed with cancer, set for June 6 from 2–6 p.m. at the Hometown Tap; tickets are $50. The council treated these announcements as informational items and did not take formal action on any of them during the May 26 meeting.
