Village hears progress report on elevated tank, meters and billing transition

Benton & Associates provided written updates to the Village of Industry board on water-system and park projects at the July 9 meeting. According to the report, "For the elevated storage tank project, site piping is the next step followed by demolition of the old tank which will be piece by piece." The park project is complete except for potential follow-up seeding.
Trustees were also told meter replacement is nearly completed; six E‑series meters are not on hand and will be installed later. President Staci Danner and village staff said the goal is to transition to the new water-billing system by the end of the month once the new meters are installed. Trustee Thompson voiced concern about potential damage to residents’ yards during meter work.
