Village of Industry approves minutes, July bills and $11,750 audit engagement

The Village of Industry Board of Trustees unanimously approved the minutes from its June meetings and authorized payment of the July bills during its July 9, 2025 meeting. Trustee Thompson moved to approve the minutes and bills; Trustee Jones seconded and the motion carried.
Treasurer Black presented an engagement letter from accounting firm Eck Schafer & Punke for the village’s annual audit. "Everything is the same as in the prior year other than they will file GATA for an additional $500," Black said; the total engagement cost will be $11,750. Trustee Thompson moved to approve the engagement; Trustee Wheeler seconded and the board voted unanimously to accept the contract.
The board also tabled action on a proposed garbage-fee increase and a proposed grocery-tax ordinance until the next meeting. No votes were recorded on those items during the July 9 session.
