The Village of Industry Board of Trustees on June 19 authorized repairs to a sinkhole along Main Street, approving an amount not to exceed $12,000.
Superintendent Gorsuch told trustees that Laverdiere Construction provided an estimate of $8,000–$12,000 for the repair and that the State had requested a scoped camera inspection, but he did not expect state funds to cover the camera work. Trustee Jones moved to authorize the repair at an amount not to exceed $12,000; Trustee Rittenhouse seconded and the motion carried.
The decision follows the board's review of the contractor estimate and Superintendent Gorsuch's assessment of state involvement. The board did not record a vote tally in the minutes beyond "the motion carried." The repair authorization is intended to address the immediate safety and roadway stability concern along Main Street.
