Matt (speaker 14) described the proposed RFP as similar in process to how opioid settlement funds were previously allocated and said the Office of the Attorney General's allowable uses would form the primary filter; he also said the prevention coalition and other partners would be part of shaping the RFP. "The overall filter, if you would, would be the office of attorney general's office approved uses," Matt said.
Supervisors urged a focus on school-based prevention, including middle and high schools, and discussed evidence thresholds for proposals. The committee approved issuing the RFP; staff will draft scope and criteria for members to review when funding recommendations return to the body.
