Law department: notice of claim filed after reversed DSS finding

"We received a notice of claim. Someone had a DSS finding of neglect. They, asked for a hearing, and that, finding was reversed. So now we have a claim that they would, sue the county for that, but I'm not sure where that's gonna go," Tim said. No attorney was listed on the notice form, staff reported, and board members asked staff to monitor the claim and the scheduling of the hearing.
The board did not take formal action on the claim during open session; staff said they would pursue the statutory hearing process. The item was reported for the record and will return as needed with further details or recommended actions.
