Montgomery public works staff told the Selectboard the municipal wastewater project is moving toward a public bidding phase. The town intends to put the existing plan set out to bid by March 1, open bids in mid-April and rely on a 60-day bid-validity period to reach a June milestone for resolving outstanding final-design issues.
The board was also informed that a proposal from engineering firm Hoyle Tanner for continued services is pending and that staff are working with WID to issue a draft ID permit for public comment. No formal vote on the contract was taken at the Feb. 16 meeting; the board received the update and will consider contracting steps as the permitting and bidding schedule advances.
