The Solano County Board of Supervisors reported a unanimous vote authorizing county counsel to file an appeal of a Department of Water Resources (DWR) certification of consistency filed with the Delta Stewardship Council for the Delta Conservancy project.
"With a unanimous vote, the board has authorized county counsel to file an appeal of DWR certification of consistency filed with the Delta Stewardship Council for the Delta Conservancy project," Chair Mitch Mashburn said when the board reconvened after a closed session. The board then continued into additional closed session business on labor negotiations with no further public report expected.
The board's recorded summary on the public record did not provide additional details about the grounds for the appeal, who moved or seconded the authorization, or the specific next steps and timeline for filing. The board earlier had listed Item 1 in closed session as "Conference with legal counsel anticipated litigation pursuant to Government Code section 54956.9(d)(4), initiation of litigation: 1 case," the statutory citation the clerk read aloud during the agenda review.
