Icon Structures wins $913,250 bid to remodel courthouse annex for sheriff's ORU

Project Services recommended accepting the low bid from Icon Structures for $913,250 to remodel approximately 4,000 square feet on the north end of the courthouse annex to create a permanent space for the sheriff's Offender Registration Unit (ORU).
Tammy Cully presented details including a new separate entrance, vestibule, waiting area, receptionist room, multi-station work room, three interview rooms, processing room, break room and restrooms; the remodeled 2nd-floor restrooms will be updated and a unisex restroom will be added. "This project will provide a separate space in the north end of the courthouse annex 1st Floor for the sheriff's offender registration unit," Cully said.
Board members moved and seconded the recommendation and approved it by roll call. The project will be managed by Project Services, which will liaise between the sheriff's office, the zoo/parks adjacency and contractors; the meeting did not specify a construction timeline.
