Sedgwick County approves 3-year Heimdall patch-management contract with White Rock Cybersecurity

The Sedgwick County Board of Bids and Contracts voted to award a 36-month contract (Interlocal purchasing contract No. 230105) to White Rock Cybersecurity for the Heimdall security patch and asset management solution. Lee Garrier, presenting on behalf of the Division of Information Technology, recommended the county switch to Heimdall beginning March 10, 2025, under a $107,400 contract running through March 9, 2028.
Garrier said Heimdall will automate cross‑platform patch deployment and provide vulnerability intelligence and compliance reporting for county systems. "We achieve a significant cost savings of $11,346," Garrier said when describing the financial comparison to the county’s current renewal. James Arns of IT explained the earlier price discrepancy, saying an initial, broader quote had included a feature that was later removed but that the corrected package still produced savings over the prior renewal.
A board member moved to approve the interlocal contract and the motion received a second. The board recorded ayes by roll call and carried the motion. The procurement record lists contract 230105; staff noted the change was brought back to the board after a post-approval cost correction earlier in January.
