The Solano County Sheriff's Office held an employee appreciation and recognition ceremony on May 8, 2025, bringing together new hires, promoted staff and retiring employees. Jackson Harris, a captain who emceed the event, led proceedings and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Undersheriff Brad Duall welcomed attendees and described the event as a moment to "recognize our employees, the promotions, new employees, and then their retirements," and thanked local officials and congressional representatives who provided certificates of appreciation. The ceremony included pinning of new staff and family photo opportunities, the administration of oaths for promoted employees, years-of-service acknowledgements (including several staff reaching 20, 25 and 30 years) and retirement recognitions for long-serving dispatchers and custody staff. The ceremony closed with the undersheriff encouraging attendees to celebrate with family and friends.
