During the financial update the Board discussed deferred maintenance options and one-time transfers to support capital work.
Diana Davisson described Fund 14 (Deferred Maintenance) contributions (typical $250K per year) and offered two options for a specific track maintenance need: pause contributions for two years or transfer $500,000 from Fund 14 into Fund 40 (capital projects) to cover the work. Board Clerk Cody Lamb supported moving funds into Fund 40 if appropriate and staff noted NMR had prepared master plan documents. Separately, the district's multiyear projections and SIAI data show an interfund transfer out of $1,659,128 (budgeted) and a corresponding transfer into Fund 40/special reserve recorded for the current year in the summary tables; Trustees approved the developer fees and other financial actions the same evening.
