The board set a public hearing for Monday, Feb. 2, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. to consider a Special Use Permit application for an 83-seat hookah lounge with a bar and a 14-seat exterior area at 356 Conklin Street. The scheduling was approved as RESOLVED #2026-01-02.
The minutes also state that the Verizon/Marquis Plaza cell-service hearing has been adjourned until Feb. 2, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. Both items will return for public comment and formal hearing on that date. No public testimony on either item was recorded at the Jan. 5 meeting; the board’s action on Jan. 5 only set the hearing date and reserved the opportunity for public input at the Feb. 2 meeting.
The minutes do not include staff reports, application materials, or conditions attached to the hookah-lounge application; those materials will need to be reviewed at or before the scheduled hearing.
