The Corning Union High School District Board of Trustees completed its annual organizational business on Dec. 11, electing officers for the 2026 calendar year and setting its meeting schedule.
A motion by Trustee Larry Glover, seconded by Trustee Reid Lamson, elected Tony Turri as Board President for calendar year 2026 and Cody Lamb as Board Clerk; Miguel Barriga was appointed Board Secretary. The motions passed unanimously among members present (Jim Bingham, Larry Glover, Reid Lamson and Cody Lamb); Tony Turri was recorded as absent. The Board also approved dates and times for regular and alternative school board meetings and confirmed subcommittee appointments for Rodgers Ranch (Jim Bingham and Tony Turri) and the 2x2x2 committee (Cody Lamb and Reid Lamson).
The organizational votes were recorded during the motion-and-vote sequence on the agenda and were procedural in nature; no substantive policy changes were enacted as part of the organizational items. Board Clerk Cody Lamb presided over the roll call and formal swearing-in of the student board member, Yaslene Martinez, before the elections occurred.
