At a Town Council workshop on Feb. 4, 2026, the Trappe Town Council reviewed and finalized a rough draft of its employee handbook and asked Town Administrator Erin Braband to prepare a final draft for council review and possible adoption at the March 4, 2026 meeting.
Council President Newnam called the workshop to order at 4:00 p.m. Councilmembers Michael Sullivan, Rose Potter and Walter Chase attended, along with Town Administrator Erin Braband. According to the workshop minutes, the council "continued to review the employee handbook and finalized a rough draft," and directed Administrator Braband to draft the final version for the March 4 agenda.
The workshop concluded at 5:20 p.m. when Councilmember Rose Potter moved to close the session and Councilmember Walter Chase seconded; the motion was "unanimously approved." The meeting record was signed "Respectfully submitted" by Erin Braband, Town Administrator/Clerk.
The council did not take a formal vote to adopt the handbook at the Feb. 4 workshop; the next step is the council review of the finalized draft at its March 4, 2026 meeting, when any adoption vote would occur.
