And you don't have that liability because it's born by them,” the speaker said. Other commenters and directors pushed for more feasibility work on a DONE/local plant option, requested maps of potential sites and urged grant-shopping once a project description is established.
No definitive choice was made. The board asked staff to gather more information, with particular attention to feasibility, siting, liability encapsulation and potential grant opportunities, and scheduled the May 28 meeting to continue the discussion.
