Ottawa County Opts to Stay with KCAMP for Property and Liability Insurance in 2026

County Clerk Tammi Cox told commissioners that because KCAMP operates as a multi‑pool insurer, staff must submit a resolution and letter to notify KCAMP before pursuing alternate providers. Cox said the Davidson Group has assisted with updating property schedules and exploring options. The Commission voted unanimously to remain with KCAMP for 2026 and requested KCAMP make a presentation to the board on the benefits it provides.
Cox also thanked Michelle Murk of the Davidson Agency for assistance in updating property schedules. The vote was recorded as: "To stay with KCAMP in 2026 and request that they come to the Commission and inform them of all the benefits they provide."
