The Board heard multiple operational updates from the Building and Highway departments. The Building Department reported that permits have been issued for 7‑11 and Sunoco and that demolition-permit discussions are ongoing. The Verizon Clock Tower cell‑service installation matter at the Marquis Shopping Center was adjourned from Jan. 5, 2026 to Feb. 2, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. (RESOLVED #2026-11-15).
The Board recorded that Burgerology was issued a summons to address grease spatter onto adjacent vehicles, to come into compliance and to pay an overdue $5,000 parking fee; the business submitted a pro forma range-hood and exhaust cleaning plan and a payment plan still needs to be set up. The Board also discussed charging-station installations (completed in Parking Lot 3 and other locations), asked for a recommendation from installers on charging fees and idle-time penalties, and raised enforcement questions related to noncharging vehicles occupying charging stalls. Highway Department staff reported North Main Street pole removals are underway but completion will be delayed about 4–6 weeks because a new water main installation must become fully operational first. Other minor items included a potential investment partner for Casa Stellina, follow-up on 5 Puritan Lane wall work, and McGrath's proposed expansion under review.
