Superintendent Chad Willis reported the district received $28,836 in revenue from six new homes in the Deerfield Crossing subdivision (89 lots total) and said Paw Paw is no longer interested in a co-op for middle school baseball and softball. Willis flagged an anticipated school resource officer cost of $163,570 with the district responsible for an estimated $122,677.50 and said no grant money is available at this time to offset that cost.
Willis said Kepple Consulting reduced a projected health insurance rate increase from 44% to 33%, and subsequent plan modifications further reduced the expected rise to 15.3%. He also noted the baseball field work is down to punch-list items and that construction of the front lobby is scheduled to begin after high school graduation, with materials on order for the lobby and teachers lounge.
