Montgomery Recreation Board hears skatepark plan for town water site

Brad Elliott, Zach Herringshaw and Ian Hutchins, guests from the skatepark group, updated the Montgomery Recreation Board that the group intends to move forward with creating a skatepark at the town water site on So. Richford Rd.
They told the board the skatepark committee will need approval from the selectboard and, once formed, will operate under the Rec Department umbrella. Early work will focus on establishing an access road to the site, obtaining contractor quotes, pursuing grants and planning fundraising; the group also said it will look into appropriate insurance coverage for the park.
