Farmingdale reports water system updates; seeks CDBG funds for Main Street watermain
Summary

Village water and engineering staff briefed the Board on multiple system updates. The minutes state Wells 1–3 are fully operational, Plant 2 Well 2-2 remains offline pending AOP certification, and Well 2-3 will be returned to service as soon as Nassau County Health Department approval is obtained. Sampling for wells 2-3 and 2-2 is complete and AOP & GAC work was completed by the Water Department and H2M. SCADA system work is nearing completion pending steps from vendor Philip Ross and Eagle Control.
Mayor Ralph Ekstrand, Administrator Brian Harty, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Daniel Ruckdeschel and Eric Alexander met with Nassau County officials to request incremental/discretionary CDBG funding to support installation of the Main Street watermain. The minutes do not record funding amounts or any commitment from Nassau County; the item was recorded as a request for funding consideration.
