Board approves partition plat for Central Point property in Order No. 188-26

At its July 14, 2026 work session the Jackson County Board of Commissioners approved Order No. 188-26, authorizing the filing of a partition plat for property owned by Russell Granger located off Foley Lane in unincorporated Central Point. Joel Benton, Senior Deputy County Administrator, explained that Section 213.09(b) of the Codified Ordinances of Jackson County requires board approval for subdivision plats that dedicate land to public use in unincorporated areas; the plat includes a public right-of-way and a public utility easement.
Commissioner Colleen Roberts moved to approve Order No. 188-26 and Commissioner Randy Sparacino seconded; Commissioners Roberts, Sparacino and Dyer voted aye and the motion passed. The board found the plat for Russell Granger (identified in the minutes as located in Sections 22, 23, 26 and 27, Township 36 South, Range 3 West of the Willamette Meridian) to be properly filed and meeting legal requirements for recording.
