Board renews third‑party claims administration contract with Pacific West Claims

Jackson County approved a contract extension with Pacific West Claims on July 15, authorizing continued third‑party administration for auto and general liability claims. Joel Benton told the board Pacific West Claims has provided these services to the County for many years and will continue to manage claims, investigate, adjust or settle losses, and maintain files and reporting.
Benton described responsibilities in detail: "Pacific West Claims will review all claim and loss reports received from the County and manage, investigate, adjust or settle, and maintain files for each claim or loss. In addition, they will produce and provide to the County monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of claims and claims expenses." Commissioner Colleen Roberts moved to approve Order No. 194-26; Commissioner Randy Sparacino seconded and the motion passed by unanimous vote.
