SCOE presents LCAP update; public hearing set for June 10

Dr. Valerie Garrett presented an update on the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), outlined the timeline for public review and thanked community partners and staff for their role in drafting the document. She said the draft has been reviewed by a California Department of Education contact and recommended to other county offices.
Garrett told trustees the next steps are a public hearing on the LCAP at the June 10 board meeting and a final approval request at the board's last meeting of the year. "In June, this is a big month for us. We will ask for the public hearing to be held. That's at the June 10 board meeting," she said.
