Staff confirmed a permit has been issued and a fee paid for the 7-11/Sunoco site while demolition permits remain under discussion; the Board requested a status update on that project. The hearing on Verizon’s Clock Tower cell service installation at the Marquis Shopping Center was adjourned until Feb. 2, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. Multi-family and rental inspections are underway and staff are addressing a backlog of open permits.
The minutes record a Burgerology payment plan that began Dec. 1, 2025, to address a $5,000 overdue balance; building staff are reviewing grease-splatter plans. Casa Stellina must correct the removal of a fireproof door to resolve sprinkler and occupancy concerns, and staff discussed a potential fix (removing rear heat pumps to treat seating as seasonal). McGrath’s proposed expanding an upstairs area for a private party room and the Building Inspector is coordinating with the applicant’s architect. A certificate of occupancy was issued for 215 Prospect Street (Addeo property), while Captain Ihab’s certificate remains pending final gas hookup. Work continues on home construction in Toretta Estates.
