The Calumet Village Council approved a street closure for the "Big Annie" parade on Aug. 22, 2026, authorizing the closure of 5th Street from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Trustee Pamela Que moved to approve the closure and waive the application fee; Trustee James Tercha seconded and the motion carried on a 5-0 roll call.
The council also authorized the Village to apply for a liquor license for an August 22 ballroom event tied to the parade, with minutes noting the Village will receive proceeds from liquor sales. Both approvals were recorded by roll call (Yeas: Tarvis, Tercha, Ryan, Smith, Que); Trustees L’Esperance and Pizzo were absent.
