After a tied first round of nominations, McManus won a second tally and the board formally moved to appoint and swear him in effective 07/09/2026.
Board members conducted the selection in rounds to identify a majority choice; initial ballots were split three to three between Christopher McManus and Colton DeWitt, prompting a runoff in which McManus received four votes to DeWitt’s two. Following the runoff, the board moved to formalize the appointment, the oath was administered, and the district chair said, “Congratulations, Christopher,” as McManus took his seat. Later in the meeting a motion recorded the appointment to Position No. 6 effective 07/09/2026 and the voice vote carried.
