I.T. Director Jen Demaline told the committee that several device and software projects were completed or underway in Q1 2026. Notable deployments included a high‑end PC for the sewer truck, purchase and pending deployment of four iPads, a rugged emergency phone installation at the municipal pool, and a new camera for the mayor’s department.
Staff also reported transitions of Finance, Law and Community Services employees to laptops with docking stations and upgraded cabling, upgraded cellular phones and hotspots for the Building Department, the city-wide purchase of Canva accounts and 20 Microsoft Copilot AI subscriptions, backup solutions for Microsoft 365, and continued cybersecurity monitoring via Black Talon.
