Project engineer Spencer Supinger of QK Inc. provided the board with the update on the water project and the state funding that will support the next phase. The board then voted to authorize filing the letter of intent; the motion was made by Trustee Anthony Avila and seconded by Trustee Rob Santos. The contract with Quad Knopf was moved by Trustee Karen Macedo and seconded by Trustee Steve Soderstrom; both votes were recorded as Ayes 5, Noes 0.
Board members said the actions align the district with municipal operations and advance state-funded construction and engineering work for Mountain View’s water system. The board did not specify a project timeline in the public session but recorded the approvals to proceed with consolidation discussions and the contractor engagement. The board’s approvals were procedural and did not obligate funds beyond the state-funded project scope.
