At the start of the June 16 special meeting President Knight reported no actions were taken during closed session and then the board approved the May 12, 2026 meeting minutes by voice vote after a motion from Board member Williams. The board then approved the meeting agenda as posted following a motion and second.
President Knight opened two required public hearings — one for the LCAP at 6:36 p.m. and another for the 2026–27 budget at 7:17 p.m. — and in both cases staff reported that no speaker slips or in‑person public comments were received. The board closed each hearing shortly after opening it and announced staff will return both items for final action at the June 23 board meeting. The meeting adjourned at 7:19 p.m. with no closed‑session action to report.
