Safety/Public Service Director Duane Streator said sanitary sewer improvements constructed by Central South, Ltd. between Glendenning and Stoney Ridge Road were completed to the Utilities Department’s satisfaction and connect into the Highland Park and Glendenning systems; Finance Director Steve Presley said the City owes a refund to the developer because the posted bond exceeded the final work cost.
Mr. Streator also described a proposed ordinance authorizing municipal-property disposal through Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc., noting the service is a familiar alternative to the GovDeals platform for surplus vehicles and that the Police Department has used it previously. Council was told Finance Director Presley has additional program information on file.
