Council Member Jennifer Demaline told the Committee there was significant public interest in creating a disc golf course and suggested Veterans Memorial Park or Eagle Point Park as potential sites. Recreation Coordinator Susan Beres said she had been contacted by an individual involved in developing North Ridgeville's highly ranked course and planned to meet with the Mayor to discuss feasibility, including clearing overgrown areas south of Eagle Point Park.
Mayor Jensen supported evaluating Eagle Point Park, noting it has ample space and overgrown areas that staff could clear to create trails and open space suitable for a disc golf layout. Staff additions could expedite brush clearing and site preparation; Committee members framed the idea as a low-cost, high-access recreation option that complements other park programs.
