UW Extension presents Positive Youth Development overview; 4‑H enrollment and Thrive Survey measures improved

Lonergan described the concept of "youth sparks"—the interests that motivate youth participation—and highlighted local programming such as food workshops and distance learning. She also announced planned summer 2027 programs including Cloverbud Day Camp, Adventure Day Camp, 4‑H in the Kitchen, Science of Baking, Clover Creators: Youth Entrepreneurship, and Clover Canvas: Art Lab. The committee encouraged continued outreach and recruitment, and staff noted the Youth in Governance program is still seeking applicants for the 2026–2027 year.
