Kevin McKinnon, representing Deckett, told the commission the work at Unit 43 is “approximately 80 feet from the wetland” and that the team “would just wanna, rebuild exactly what's there.” Staff said the project had been flagged in the building permit review because Unit 43 is within the buffer zone; staff characterized the activity as a minor buffer-zone activity under local rules and raised no current concerns. A motion to issue a negative determination passed on voice vote.
The decision means the applicant will not be required to file a Notice of Intent for this limited, same-footprint repair. The commission noted that applicants and members of the public must state their name and town for the record and reiterated standard procedural conditions for meetings and filings.
