Council authorizes IMLRMA min/max contribution agreement, opts for two-installment payment plan
Summary
The Jerseyville City Council unanimously authorized an ordinance to execute the Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association min/max contribution agreement and selected payment Option #3 allowing two installments due Dec. 2025 and May 2026.
The council voted unanimously Nov. 10 to authorize an ordinance enabling execution of the Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association (IMLRMA) min/max contribution agreement. Commissioner Anthony Steckel moved the ordinance and Commissioner John Miles seconded. The council selected payment Option #3, which allows two installments with the first installment due in December 2025 and the second due in May 2026.
City practice for risk management contributions frequently uses the Illinois Municipal League program; the council recorded no dissent and no amendments. The motion passed by roll call with all members voting aye.
Implementation note: the payment schedule selected (Dec. 2025 and May 2026) will be handled through the city’s finance processes in coordination with IMLRMA under the terms authorized by the ordinance.
