Residents say trees cleared, equipment blocking road and driveways at nearby property; town to investigate

At the Feb. 4 meeting, Tish Blessing told the council that she and neighbors are worried about activity on Mr. Morrison’s property on Lovers Lane, saying that workers have been cutting trees and that construction equipment sometimes blocks the road during school hours. Blessing said people were "parking in front of her house, blocking her driveway, blocking access to a fire hydrant and creating ruts in her driveway when they turn around." Matt Dunn said he had heard that storage units might be installed on the property.
Town Attorney Lyndsey Ryan said Mr. Morrison previously came before the Planning Commission about two years ago with a subdivision idea but that the Town has not received documentation of a current plan. 1st Sgt. Aita asked Blessing to call police when the road is blocked or if residents feel unsafe; President Newnam said the Town would look into the work, potential violations and whether permits are required.
