Trappe council approves expanded landscape RFP including Town Hall services and leaf removal

Council approved revisions to the grass cutting/landscape RFP to add Town Hall services, leaf removal for all town properties, increase mulching to twice yearly and include an alternate price for contractor-supplied versus town-supplied materials; the revised RFP will be put out to bid.
Administrator Erin Braband presented a list of items staff requested for inclusion in the grass cutting/landscape RFP, including services at Town Hall, leaf removal for all Town properties, and a change to require mulching twice a year. Braband also asked to add an alternate so contractors could quote both a materials-included price and a price assuming the Town provides materials.
Commissioner Walter Chase moved to release the revised RFP with the requested revisions; President Newnam seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The council instructed staff to proceed with the procurement process and to include the alternates in the bid documents.
