Trappe council approves $16,986 HVAC replacement using ARPA interest funds

The Trappe Town Council on Feb. 4 approved a Comfort Plus proposal to replace the more-than-20-year-old heating and air-conditioning systems in the council room and the administrator’s office. Administrator Erin Braband told the council, “The proposal is for $16,985.96,” and said the existing systems have been costly to patch in recent weeks.
Commissioner Walter Chase moved to approve the Comfort Plus proposal and to fund the purchase from interest earned in the town’s ARPA account; Commissioner Michael Sullivan seconded and the motion passed unanimously. President Newnam asked staff to solicit additional companies for future maintenance contracts.
