The village clerk reported four FOIA requests in August that together required 12.5 staff-hours and a substantial document compilation. One request for monthly discharge monitoring reports (DMRs) and violation letters for the wastewater plant required a 3.5-hour scan and produced a Google Drive folder of records for the requester.
The clerk said the office provided the records electronically where possible and noted printing costs could apply for very large requests. Board members discussed that FOIA responses related to the wastewater plant had informed part of the later public discussion about plant condition and potential regulatory history.
