Kingsbury County reviews 911 upgrade quotes, approves Local Emergency Operations Plan

Emergency Manager Kristen Longville presented quotes on May 19 for county 911 infrastructure upgrades and secured Board approval of the county's Basic Local Emergency Operations Plan.
Longville said Two Way Radio Solutions quoted $8,622.18 to service the east 911 tower near Arlington and $11,412.93 to upgrade the 911 line from copper to fiber; she said the fiber upgrade cost would be included in her 2027 911 budget request. The Board asked the Auditor to check budget availability and agreed to revisit the tower quote at the June 4 meeting.
At the same meeting, the Board approved the Basic Plan for the Kingsbury County Local Emergency Operations Plan on a motion by Commissioner Troy Nelson, seconded by Commissioner Steve Spilde. The minutes show the Board voted unanimously on the plan approval.
