Smithville to carry about $2.3 million in CIP projects into FY26, officials say

Chair reported that a team (Madeline, Chuck and Myra) reviewed capital improvement projects and consolidated the list to minimize future amendments. "net impact that we're carrying over to '26 is just over 2,300,000 if I'm reading that right," the chair said, describing the dollar amount the city will carry into the next fiscal year.
The chair said the consolidation aimed to reduce the need for frequent budget amendments and provided the board with a clearer picture of the FY26 capital plan. Staff will include the carryover figures in the recommended budget material for the scheduled October readings.
