The committee voted 7–0 to change the rules language labeling agenda time from a "Moment of Silent Prayer" to a "Moment of Silent Reflection," a wording update members described as more inclusive.
Separately, members agreed to amend Rule 3 so that "legal holiday" in the council rules would track City of Fairview Park policy rather than solely the state Revised Code listing. Law Director Steve Deaver was asked to draft recommended language that will align the council rule with the city's current holiday policy.
Both motions passed unanimously at the committee meeting and will be reflected in a future rules update packet.
