Supervisor Frasier told the board the engineer’s initial proposal would "bring back a couple different options with modern equipment" and said the engineering estimate came in at "$6,600."
Council members discussed grant timing and eligibility, noting some federal programs focus on fossil-fuel replacement while a state grant tied to climate-smart community recognition could provide matching funds. Councilman Redinger said the state opportunity would align with the town pursuing "climate smart community bronze status" and that an engineering report will make the town ready to apply if a suitable grant appears next year.
