The Daniels County Board of Commissioners voted to approve the meeting agenda and to adopt the minutes (journals) early in the April 21 session. Commissioners then approved routine claims and correspondence by voice vote.
The board also addressed an indigent‑burial case for a person with no known relatives. County staff explained the county’s process for indigent burials and said the county may recoup expenses if an asset tied to the decedent—the pickup—can be sold. Commissioners voted to authorize payment from the county’s indigent burial fund for a modest headstone and a burial container now; county staff said proceeds from sale of the pickup will be returned to county coffers to offset the expense.
